Bravo Bravada owner, bravo.

Kinja'd!!!

Did look like it’d been spray painted. I prefer this front end to the Chevy or GMC for some reason.

The Bravada definitely had the best front end of the three. It looks even better on the S-10.

At the time, GM was still trying to figure out how the whole SUV thing was going to play out. Buick and Cadillac were considered too upscale for trucks, Pontiac too sporty, so Oldsmobile was the only upper or medium priced brand to get one, probably to test market reception.

i remember the olds, used to see them all the time. but had a phantom recollection of a buick one.

i also remember when the escalade had first showed up, and the 1 ton trucks got cadillac front clips............ interesting times.

That’s sort of the point of this exercise... small trucks with off-the-wall engine swap ideas. The Northstar V8 Bman suggested isn’t exactly a great motor, either, but it’s something different...

The V8s had problems. And the SHO V6 will bolt to the ranger transmission. Ford even built one as a concept with the V6.

Classy econo trucks. My grand-uncle had an S-15 that was beat to hell, it had a piece of broom handle and wire for door handles. It fit his personality perfectly, pretty rough around the edges but completely reliable.

There are certainly better motors out there, and it would be a difficult swap, hence this is all hypothetical.

My next suggestion was going to be a W8 swap in a VW Taro, so...

I dated a girl who drove a first gen bravada because she “needed a truck”.....she became an ex in short order. I still shudder in fear when I see one parked anywhere near my car.
